Gaucho

Under the heading of rubber and rubber product known trees grouped in the genus Hevea, family Euphorbiaceae; of genres best known are H. Minor, H bentamiana, H. Rigidifolia, and in places farther from the Guianas are the H. Giannensis and H. Lutea.

On this important plant product have been written many publications and treatises, very comprehensive studies carried out on wild and cultivated rubber, yield and quality of different species by month, climate, physical environment and to the methods used in collecting .

Harvesting in natural rubber forests becomes more difficult for the rubber plantations where the plants are planted in rows or technically trails, in selected locations according to soil conditions the plant requires. In our Amazon is rare where there is no natural rubber, although isolated trees, along the Orinoco, Ventuari, Arm Casiquiare, Siapa, Black River, there are areas where the greatest concentration is in microclimates that favor. Today the immense natural rubber trees are lost without being exploited, despite being imported thousands of tons of natural rubber a year, not counting the heavy import of synthetic rubber and other products. They have lost many years to realize the magnificent projects developed by Mr. Alfredo Lezama for CODESUR, losing too costly studies and experiments on rubber seed imported from carefully selected.

The rubber is perhaps the main product of the Amazon rainforest. There are several plant species to produce the rubber band and their exploitation has been of great economic importance to the region (Hevea benthamiana, H. Minor, H. Rigidifolia). At present the vast Amazonian rubber trees are lost without being exploited, despite being imported thousands of tons of natural rubber a year, nearly a billion and Bs, excluding the import of synthetic rubber and other products.

If we were to produce our natural rubber plantations in one tenth of the product being imported, could win an important battle for development. Simultaneously you can go planting, growing more technical and streamlined to increase and improve the quality of future productions, which would become much economic performance. Many years have been lost in hesitation for the magnificent project developed by CODESUR, losing too costly studies and experiments with seeds imported, carefully selected rubber. The major project is due to Mr. Alfredo Lezama.
