Caracas, 08 Dic. ABN .- In order to ensure that tourism contributes to the conservation and sustainable development of protected areas, the Regional Directorate of National Parks Institute (Inparques) and the Ministry of Popular Power for Tourism made , in this Dec. 9, the second workshop on Tourism in Protected Natural Areas.

This activity, which will run until Friday 11 December, was held in The Mucuy, Parque Nacional Sierra de La Culata, Mérida state, and will focus on the guards of the different sectors of the Venezuelan Andes.

The intention to develop tourism in protected areas is also to preserve the priority regions for conservation and areas of influence, being an economical alternative for the primary benefit of communities and local users.

According to the schedule, will lecture Wednesday about the potentials and constraints for development of tourism in national parks.

Also discuss the Management Plan and Regulations for Use (poru) as a tool for controlling this activity in such spaces as well as the interpretation of landscape as a resource for raising awareness among visitors and National Park Sierra de La Culata as an attraction for ecotourism development in Mérida.

By Thursday December 11, intends to analyze the tourism product of nature in Venezuela; How to make tourism a sustainable activity in the Sierra Nevada National Park; Inventory of heritage tourism in national parks in Merida state and Biodiversity of tourism in national parks.

The last day of the workshop practices of this activity will lead field and handed the certificates.
